Hi all -
There are four and a half weeks left of your summer break, hope you all have been reading up! I know you all are reading different books at different times, so use this blog to ask me questions and to discuss the books. We can discuss the characters, plots, themes, etc.
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello all
I hope all of you are having a safe and fun summer. I have been very busy - I was at Gallaudet University for 2 and a half weeks training to become an ASL/English mentor at SSSD. O'Rourke and I were there together and we worked with teachers from all over the United States. We did one year's worth of work in 2 weeks! We read 4 books and more than 20 articles, all about bilingual education (learning in two languages), and wrote a total of 24 essays!
What is everyone reading now? Let's start communicating on the blog!

Wolves' first summer blog! Which book first?
Hello Wolves!
Let's get started with reading! Don't forget the importance of reading!
You have three books to read this summer as a group:
-The Call of the Wild
-The Hound of the Baskervilles
-Robinson Crusoe
The Call of the Wild is about a dog named Buck that survives in Alaska during the Gold Rush in 1897. Do you like detective stories? Sherlock Holmes? Then we will have fun reading The Hound of the Baskervilles. A hound is a dog and the Baskervilles is a family that owns an estate (large house). Sherlock Holmes is called to help solve the mystery of hounds that haunt the Baskervilles! Did you like the movie Cast Away? Imagine being alone on an island for 24 years! In Robinson Crusoe, we will read about a man stranded (stuck) on an island, alone, for 24 long years.
Which book should we read first?? I vote we start with Robinson Crusoe. Put in your votes now so we can get started reading!
